About Widener University
Founded in 1821, Widener University is a private comprehensive university. It ranked the 181th among the United States national universities in the U.S. News & World Report in 2014. The school is located in Chester, Pennsylvania with nearly 6,000 students, including 2,548 graduate students. It offers 40 undergraduate majors and 50 minor programs, more than 10 master’s programs and doctoral programs.

About the Program
Requirements

The students majored in Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation, Mechatronic Engineering, Energy and Environmental Systems Engineering, Packaging Engineering at NIT are allowed to apply for this “3+1+2” Program (three years at NIT, one year at Widener University for undergraduate program, and another two years at Widener University for postgraduate program) at their fourth year in condition that their former academic performance and English proficiency meet the required standards. The credits awarded by Widener University will be approved by NIT. Those whose academic performance meets the requirements are available to admissions to Widener University to pursue further study as master candidates.

Certificates
Students who complete the undergraduate program will be awarded the diplomas of NIT and Bachelor’s degrees. Students who complete the postgraduate program will be awarded Master’s degrees by Widener University.

Program Cost
At the fourth year, students need to pay the registration fee at NIT and the tuition at Widener University (FYI: US$ 39052 for the academic year 2014-2015). As for the postgraduate program, students are to pay the tuition according to Widener University tuition policies.

Scholarship
Students will have the opportunity to obtain a 20% tuition scholarship from Widener University at the fourth year. Students are also entitled to the scholarships offered by Widener University when they pursue their master’s degrees.
