March 12th is the 37th National Tree-planting Day celebrated by all the nationals. NIT held a tree planting activity in Yingzhou Academicians’ Park to commemorate it on that sunny and warm day. This year’s theme is “Better Environment and Fresher Air”. More than 80 people participated in the activity, including all the leaders of NIT, the Greening Committee members and some representatives from the staff and students. In the course of the activity, fifteen students “adopted” the trees and got the certifications from Professor Jin Weiliang, President of NIT, who will take care of the trees in the next two years. In the end, “Green Trees and New Dreams”, proposed by the Green Wind Environment Association, called on all the staff and students at NIT to always think green.
