The NIT team won the champion in Ningbo Collegiate Debate Contest. Zhang Ning, one of the team members, was awarded the Best Debater. The contest was hosted by Ningbo Youth Corps Committee and Ningbo students Union at Ningbo University. The finals were held between NIT and Ningbo University on the topic whether the valuable non-state-owned archives should be put into the Archive Office or enshrined by folk collectors. The excellent performances of the two teams received rounds of applauses from the judges and the audience. The NIT team won the champion in the end. The NIT team won the Outstanding Organization Award and the two teachers of NIT, Mr. Zhang Mingde and Ms. Yu Guizhi, were both awarded the Excellent Instructor.
