The first TI Cup RSLK Robot Car Competition was successfully held from July 9th to 10th in NingboTech, witnessing the participation of 51 students in 17 teams. The competition applied MSP432 demo boards and RSLK (Robotics Systems Learning Kit) developed by Texas Instruments and was greatly supported by the company. TI-RSLK is series of cost-effective robot kits and teaching instruments, which can help students better understand the working principles of electronic system designs, the compositions and working mode of the robot system.

Contestants learned everything from the structure of robots, the programming of MSP432 demo boards to system development methods in just 20 days against the special backdrop of COVID-19 pandemic. Competing with one heart and one mind, they realized the importance of team-work; fighting with will unbending, they tasted the joy of hard work. After two days’ intense competition, one top team, three first prize teams, four second prize teams and eight third prize teams were selected.

The School and Texas Instruments have conducted extensive cooperation in industry-university integration and talent training, through which teachers have learned techniques and students have been engaged in practical manufacturing. The win-win cooperation has rendered preliminary results. In the future, the two parties will further their cooperation which will cover freshmen starting from this year.
