The delegation from School of Information Science and Engineering brought home two third prizes from the 15th National Intelligent Model Car Competition for University Students (Zhejiang Provincial Qualifier) held by Zhejiang University City College.

This two-day qualifier in Zhejiang Province, officially kicking off the serial contests across the country, witnessed participation of over 200 instructors and students in 172 teams from 34 colleges and universities within the province. Tasked with designing and developing intelligent model cars with superior performance and self-driving capabilities, students were encouraged to analyze, design, and develop mechanical structures, electronic circuits, motion control of intelligent model cars, during which their capabilities of knowledge application and innovation were strengthened.

Instructors and students from NingboTech, defying all the difficulties and challenges, solved multiple problems occurring during the 90-day preparations for hardware design and software debugging. From the initial coarse models to the smooth rides in the end, students saw their potential in engineering technology and scientific exploration unleashed, and hands-on capabilities cultivated.
