The flag-raising ceremony on the theme of “carrying forward the spirit of combating COVID-19 pandemic and taking on the mission of national rejuvenation” was held on campus at 7 am, October 1st, with over 500 faculty members and students gathered to witness this solemn moment in celebration of China’s 71st birthday.

FENG Jianbo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the university, delivered a speech in which he encouraged all faculty members and students to carry forward the heroic spirit of combating COVID-19 pandemic and to demonstrate patriotism with concrete action. This lofty spirit, he pointed out, should serve as a firm conviction and a spiritual pillar all the way along their life journeys.

Faculty members and students later expressed their best wishes for China’s future development by posing for photos with the national flag, a sign that they would always be by the side of the motherland.
