Professor LIU Hengwu from Faculty of Humanities and Communities, Ningbo University, delivered a lecture on the sea-borne communication of stone carving culture in East Asia at the invitation of the School of International Studies.

Professor LIU constructed communication models of artifacts, people and technology between China and Japan in ancient times by comparing hand-made objects like pagodas of two countries. He also pointed out the geographical significance of Ningbo in the sea-borne communication in East Asia back in the old days. Professor LIU also had cordial conversations with staff members and students, answering their questions and helping with their scientific researches.
