Professor DUAN Junhui, Vice Dean of the School of Business English of Sichuan International Studies University, gave a lecture on roles and characteristics of Chinese scholars in the dialogue between eastern and western civilizations in the post-pandemic era at the invitation of the School of International Studies of NingboTech.

Professor DUAN touched upon three topics of "China in the global context", "western and oriental academic ideas and my academic views", as well as "threads of arguments in and academic models set by Confucian classics", under which he elaborated on how western classics and scholars incorporated or adopted Confucian thoughts, compared oriental academic ideas with western ones and sorted out threads of arguments in Confucian classics ofThe Great Learningand The Doctrine of the Mean.

Professor DUAN concluded his lecture by answering questions posed by attendees and offering guidance on paper writing.
