The kick-off ceremony of NingboTech-Liangjing Joint Laboratory for Big Data and Artificial Intelligence was held in NingboTech. LU Dongming, Vice President of the University, WANG Xianming, President of Zhejiang Liangjing Network Technology Co., Ltd. and YU Jianwen, General Manager of the company attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Vice President LU announced the official opening of the joint laboratory. Mentioning that the university had cultivated talents for 19 years since its establishment, Mr. LU strengthened the importance for the university to continue serving local economic development. The lab raised the bar for future business-university cooperation, since the company, as the leading entity in its niche market, was the epitome of how the digital economy could boost quality economic development in Ningbo.

WANG and YU, outstanding alumni of NingboTech, expressed their confidence that the joint lab would surely achieve what was expected of it with the support of the university and joint efforts of professional teachers, diligent students and experienced R&D teams.

The joint lab, a platform integrating technological R&D, App promotion and commercialization of scientific and technological findings, is aimed at cultivating innovative talents and enhancing companies' independent innovation capabilities and competitiveness by fully leveraging scientific, personnel and technical edges of colleges and universities. The lab is also tasked with serving local economy and facilitating “intelligent manufacturing and industrial Internet”.
