Haitian Class of Engineers was officially initiated, with all 25 students being a graduate-to-be of NingboTech and a future employee of Haitian Group, the largest manufacturer of plastic machinery in China.

Such a move is another beneficial attempt made by the two sides to further synergize education with industrial trends through business-university cooperation. According to the newly agreed arrangements, all the students would complete their graduation design in the company under the joint supervision of mentors from NingboTech and the company.

TONG Weixing, Party Secretary of the School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, hailed the move as a meaningful exploration into how universities and enterprises could jointly nurture quality graduates, which surely held profound significance for the university, the company and the students as well.

YU Wenxian, head of the company’s HR Department, thought highly of the roadmap designed by NingboTech and the School to strengthen business-education cooperation. He hoped that the two parties could enjoy mutual development by setting up a talent cultivation system that was accurately targeted and innovatively orchestrated.

The newly appointed mentors expressed their hope that the students could be humble and down-to-earth, which were important traits of a competent engineering in this new era.
