Professor WU Dazhuan is appointed Dean of the School of Mechatronics and Energy Engineering

Prof. WU Dazhuan, doctoral supervisor and Qiushi Distinguished Professor of Zhejiang University, was officially appointed Dean of the School of Mechatronics and Energy Engineering during the appointment ceremony which was attended by university officials.

Mentioning that the appointment was a carefully-made decision to accelerate development, HU Zhengyu, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of NingboTech University, hoped that the School could seize the precious opportunity and face up to challenges by pushing ahead with its reforms in areas like personnel management and student training systems. Since the university was undergoing the transformation--a critical moment in its history, all schools, as important components of the university, were expected to realize transformative development by fully leveraging resources and defying all difficulties and challenges on the way forward.

Prof. WU expressed his gratitude to university officials for their trust and outlined his plan for the Schools future development as the new dean. He expected that faculty members could make their due contribution to building the university into a first-class one in the province and top 100 nationwide while realizing their full potential through learning and practicing.

CHEN Guangming, former Dean of the School, thanked university officials for their trust, faculty members for their support and top School officials for their contribution. He was confident that the School would have a brighter future under the new leadership.

TONG Weixing, Party Secretary of the School, pledged full support to the new dean. He believed that the School would make new strides on all fronts under the new leadership and with joint efforts of faculty members and students.

Notes: WU Dazhuan, doctoral supervisor and Qiushi Distinguished Professor of Zhejiang University, serves as head of the Center for Advanced Technology of the College of Energy Engineering of Zhejiang University, Deputy Director of the Institute of Process Equipment of Zhejiang University, and member of State Key Laboratory of Fluid Power and Mechatronic Systems. He has undertaken or completed more than 20 important scientific research projects, has been authorized more than 40 invention patents, and has published more than 50 SCI-indexed papers. He has been invited to deliver reports more than ten times in international or domestic academic conferences.
