Prof. PENG Jing, expert reviewer of translation projects of Chinese works and editor-in-chief of The Complete Works of Deng Siyu, a project supported by the National Publication Foundation, delivered a speech on how to bring Chinese academic monographs to the rest of the world and offered relevant guidance. Moderated by CAI Liang, Deputy Dean of the School of International Studies, the lecture was attended by CHEN Jieyun, Deputy Director of Research Office, CHENG Meng, Deputy Director of International Affairs Office, ZHOU Wen, Deputy Dean of the School of International Studies, and teacher representatives.

Having long been engaged in studies of Chinese culture translation, Prof. PENG shared with the attendees his experience in selecting the topic and applying for the projects supported by the National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC). He noted that the topic should be carefully chosen to reflect the Chinese cultural essence and represent China's academic frontiers. He then briefly explained how Chinese academic journals can be published by a prestigious foreign institution and step into the international mainstream. Prof. PENG brought his lecture to an end by giving illuminating suggestions pertaining to the questions posed by teachers.
