Four NingboTech teams won two second prizes and two third prizes after intense competition in the fifth ZJRobcon, a provincial-level robot competition for university students held in Tongji Zhejiang College from July 8th to 10th. A total of seven NingboTech teams, after rigorous selection and training, took part in three categories of the competition: robots for supermarkets, small robot football matches and mobile robots.

The robot contest, through which university students can better put what they've learned into practice, engage in innovation, creation and entrepreneurship, and learn to become a team-player, is aimed at producing interdisciplinary talents and outstanding engineering professionals as well as helping colleges and universities as they carry out practice- and innovation-oriented educational reform. It's expected that institutions of higher learning can have closer links with relevant businesses and that robot technology and its industrial development could be further facilitated through this competition.
