Six NingboTech faculty members including Prof. GENG Jian, Deputy Dean of the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Prof. TAO Jili, Deputy Dean of the School of Information Science and Engineering, and Prof. SHU Zhenyu from the School of Computing and Data Engineering visited Ningbo Xinzhi Technology.

They were shown the company's unmanned ships, UAVs and the dynamic monitoring and management system. NIE Zhengbin, General Manager of the company, detailed the company's missions and smart products. A high-tech company and one of the best qualified entities in the field of surveying and mapping, Ningbo Xinzhi Technology focuses on technological development and service including geographic information system engineering, engineering survey and smart city service, application of intelligent unmanned ships and UAVs, monitoring service for ecological conservation and environmental protection, etc.

The two sides had in-depth discussions about the company's current development, problems it faces and its long-term plans. NIE mentioned that since the company is badly in need of talents and technological breakthroughs, he hoped that more outstanding NingboTech graduates could join the company and that the university could help with the model design of the domestic sewage discharge system and the urban water supply system.

Prof. GENG said that Ningbo Xinzhi Technology, a promising high-tech enterprise focusing on forward-looking and scientific research and development, is attractive to university students. He suggested a personalized personnel training system to attract and attain talents.

NIE believed that the university-industry cooperation enjoys a prospective future in smart manufacturing and smart marine environment, and looked forward to deeper cooperation in personnel training and technology sharing.
