Prof. ZHENG Jianming, Vice President of Zhejiang Wanfeng Technology Development Co., Ltd., delivered a lecture on intelligent manufacturing on October 18th at the invitation of the School of Mechatronics and Energy Engineering. YANG Canjun and WANG Gaohe, Vice President and head of Human Resources Office, WU Dazhuan, Dean of the School of Mechatronics and Energy Engineering, TONG Weixing, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of the School, and ZHANG Xuechang and HU Changxing, Deputy Deans of the School, attended the lecture.

Starting with the concept of Automation 2.0, Prof. ZHENG further elaborated on process optimization and advanced technology like high-end robots employed in intelligent factories at home and abroad by citing his rich experiences both in school and in the workplace.

He encouraged attendees present to shoulder their due responsibility and make contribution to China's technological innovation by facing difficulties head-on. He also charted the way forward for the training of application-oriented students.

Notes: ZHENG Jianming, postdoctoral scholar at the University of Michigan, is a distinguished expert recognized by the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC and a recipient of the Special Government Allowances of the State Council. He used to serve as manager of General Electric Company's digital manufacturing laboratory and assistant president of SANY Group.
