NingboTech students took home one second prize in the national final, and three second prizes and three third prizes in the provincial final in the "TI Cup" National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest as the results were recently unveiled.

The competition attracted 2,656 students in 887 teams from 64 colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province. The strictly-selected NingboTech contestants stood out in the competition after hard training and careful preparations under the guidance of the faculty members.

One of the four major competitions supported by the Ministry of Education, the event is aimed at promoting curricula reform of information- and electronics-related subjects, cultivating college students' innovation ability, and encouraging them to put what they learn in class into practice. Thanks to the continuous efforts made by the School of Information Science and Engineering, students have won three national awards and 60 provincial-level ones so far, which has greatly reinforced the university's application-oriented development philosophy.
