YING Yibo of the School of Information Science and Engineering won the first prize and LIU Binghui of the School of Marxism won the third prize in the 12th Zhejiang Teaching Competition for Young College Teachers. The event, held online between December 11th and 12th, was hosted by the Department of Education of Zhejiang Province and Teachers' Union of Zhejiang Province. The competition, divided into five categories of liberal arts, science, engineering, ideological and political education, and medicine, assesses a teacher's teaching ability based on his or her teaching design, teaching performance and after-class reflection.

Since April, the university, attaching great importance to the event, has offered great help to contestants in order to improve their teaching ability. It would give full play to the exemplary role of award winners and encourage young teachers to upgrade their teaching philosophy, improve their teaching ability and ultimately to form a soundly-structured faculty team consisting of teachers of good character and with professional competence.
