Young teacher representatives talked about their personal growth and career development with President YANG Deren on March 24.

The representatives shared their thoughts about how to strike a balance between teaching and scientific research, be actively involved in discipline development and team building, improve the office environment, support scientific research, enhance student training, let the public learn more about NingboTech, build a platform for faculty communication, move up the career ladder, etc., to which President YANG listened carefully and responded accordingly.

He pointed out that the university, attaching great importance to the development of young teachers, is make every effort to create an enabling environment for their growth and success since they are the future of and the driving force behind the university's development. He called on the faculty to find out their research interest and what they want to accomplish in their life; to be a team player and constantly expand external resources by using their initiative; to enhance confidence, make full use of existing resources, turn weaknesses into advantages, and finally achieve great success step by step.

The event was chaired by WANG Gaohe, head of the university's Human Resources Office, and was also attended by SHEN Haoyu and HU Changxing, heads of the Academic Affairs Office and Research Office respectively.
