YUAN Jiajun, secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Zhejiang Province, stressed that the guiding principles embodied in General Secretary XI Jinping's statements regarding governance at grass-roots level should be conscientiously implemented, decisions made by the CPC Central Committee be fully implemented, and efforts be stepped up to promote law-based, intelligent and professional governance at grass-roots level under the overall Party leadership during his inspection of Xiafan Village, Ninghai County on April 27.

During the inspection, Secretary YUAN was briefed on the project "Village Vision", which is carried out by the team of the School of Design dedicated to rural revitalization, and was shown around the governance scenarios designed for the future. He stressed that the system should be further improved to promote good governance in rural areas.

"Village Vision", supported by the provincial government, is an important measure to continuously improve and renovate villages and promote common prosperity in rural areas, and has a direct bearing on the digital reform in rural areas. The project, people-centered, environmentally friendly and digital empowered, aims to set up scenarios showcasing industries, landscape, cultural development, neighborhood, health care, low-carbon application, transportation, smart use, and governance in the future. It builds on the project "Research and application demonstration of scientific and technological support and service mode for beautiful countryside", which is led by LUO Shijian, dean of the School of Design, and won the financial support of the municipal government. Xiafan Village and Hutou Village, two model villages that are the focus of the project, have witnessed close cooperation among NingboTech, Zhejiang University and Zhejiang University Urban-Rural Planning and Design Institute, whose mini-programs have greatly facilitated modernization of rural governance and digital development of industries.
