The 3rd NingboTech International Culture Festival was successfully held on December 1st with the vibrant event attracting a large crowd.
The festival, aimed at equipping students with global insight and bringing teachers and students from China and abroad closer to each other, has attracted international teachers and students as well as company representatives. Showcasing the charm of different cultures through cultural performances and traditional delicacies and attire, the activity is a feast to both the palate and eyes and serves as a channel for cultural and people-to-people communication.
In his opening remarks, HUANG Guangjie, Deputy Party Secretary of NingboTech noted that the International Culture Festival, a vivid epitome of the university's strategy of educational internationalization and "global vision", serves as a window for teachers and students at home and abroad to better understand each other.
Speaking on behalf of international students, Isaac Younge from Liberia shared intriguing stories that happened to him during his stay here in China. He noticed that only by taking the initiative to integrate with the local community, embracing cultural differences, and strengthening mutual understanding, can we grow into outstanding talents with international perspectives and global competitiveness in the future.
Student clubs and Urangoo Erdenebat, an international student from Mongolia, gave brilliant art performances, a perfect testament to the subtle blend of tradition with modernity, Chinese elements with the Western ones. Delicacies and traditional clothing from Pakistan, Morocco, Algeria, India, and Bangladesh were such an eye-opener for teachers and students present.
All had a good time during the festival. Lamyea Jbilou from Morocco was delighted to have the opportunity to let Chinese friends have a taste of the traditional Moroccan tea. Terry from Ireland said that this event served as a channel for cultural exchanges.
