On May 20th, Professor He Zhenbiao (Deputy Dean of the School of Media and Design), the students and faculty of the School of Media and Design, and the representatives from Ningbo Tianyi Bookstore, Shili Hongzhuang Bookstore, Fenglinwan Bookstore and Weiyou Bookstore attended.

To begin with, Professor He introduced the origin of “Reading Spot”. This program aims to encourage college students to read more books. With the help of these bookstores, the school will carry out reading activities for students and teachers in the future. Books will be provides by these book stores for free.
They discussed about college students reading habit and the current situation of bookstores. In recent years, the School of Media and Design has been attaching importance to reading by setting up diverse book clubs, for instance, Reading Club for Teachers, Young Marxist Reading Club and Transitional China Reading Club. What is worth mentioning is that the activity called “Occupy the Bookstores”, guided by Mr. He, which has led to heated discussions.
