On October 31, 2015, Chinese Media Economy and Management Conference 2015 was held at Central China Normal University. Hundreds of scholars and experts from colleges and universities, governments and enterprises attended the conference. Themed “Media Innovation in the Internet Plus Era”, they discussed about the development of media economy in the past years and in the near future.
Professor Shao Peiren, Dean of the School of Media and Design of NIT, Doctoral Supervisor of Zhejiang University, was awarded by the Chinese Media Economy and Management Institute for his concept of “Huallywood”, who, thus, has become one of the nine leading scholars winning this prize this year. Professor Shao was aslo awarded “Outstanding Contribution to Chinese Media Economy” for his original points of view and highly cited papers in the relevant fields.
Professor Shao established the Huallywood Film Studies Centre at NIT in 2014, which aims to promote the growth of Chinese movies. Days ago, The World Huallywood Academy was registered as a nonprofit institution for academic research in the United States.
