CCTVs famous anchors, Liu Xin, Sun Ning, and Zhang Jing, the renowned interpreter in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ever took part in the previous national and international contests. As to this years theme, Tang Jieqing said, “I thought about the theme of the speech for a long time. It happened that I was watching ;Are Our Kids Tough Enough? at that time, which evoked heated discussion among the audience. What are the differences if a child is brought up in the contexts of Chinese education system and the western education system? During the whole process, I got much help and encouragement from Miss Ruan Bayan, who revised the speech for me and provided some suggestions. She even personally demonstrated how to deliver the speech.”
