In the early spring of 2015, the results of the Second Term Photo Contest of University Students in Zhejiang Province were announced and prizes were awarded. Students from NIT had submitted 159 of their best photographs and from these, 30 photos were sent in to the contest. As a result, students from NIT won 15 awards in the non-professional group! Student photographers obviously had benefited from the advice and guidance of teachers Liu Jianmin and Zhang Ying. The photo entitled ;Mountains and Children by Fang Dingyinan won first prize in the non-fiction category, and Lin Qian and Luo Hao won second prize in this category. Fan Huadong, together with three other students, won second prize in the art category. Zhu Chenzhe and Zhang Xinzhis photographs won first and second place, respectively, in the commerce category and five other students including Lin Lili won third prizes in various other non-professional group categories.
