On the afternoon of 22th May, 2015, the launching ceremony of the Silk Road Institution as well as “One Belt and One Road” Development Strategy Forum was held in King Tsung Zung Center For Legal Education, NIT. Zhou Guping, Deputy Party Secretary of Zhejiang University, Fei yingqing, Party Secretary of NIT, Chen Feilong, Associate Counsel of Ningbo Development Reform Committee, Yang Jiangang, Assistant Dean of NIT and Xiao Wen, Dean of the School of Economics and International Trade of NIT attended the ceremony and the forum.

Wu Yaping (Head of Investment Institute, Macroeconomic Academy, National Development Reform Committee), Liu Jun, (Deputy Dean of SAIAS of ECNU), Xie Jinhua, (Deputy Dean of the Silk Road Institution) and Dong Xuebing (Executive Vice President of Chinese Western Development Institute, Zhejiang University), gave their keynote speeches respectively.

The Silk Road Institution, co-established by NIT and Chinese Western Development Institute of Zhejiang University, is sponsored by DRC of Ningbo as well. It focuses on consulting, researching, communicating and training. Two key projects has already been launched and the Bluebook of “One Belt and One Road and China Western Development” will be released at the end of this year, focusing on the harbor-shipping logistics market, creative design, culture communication, economic and trade cooperation and financial cooperation.
