At the beginning of the new spring semester, Doctor Maria Elena Indelicato, the first foreign visiting scholar at NIT, gave lessons to the students at the School, which attracted lots of students to attend her class.

On March 10th, Maria gave a very interesting and enlightening lesson to the students with Doctor Qiu Zitong, a Vice Professor at the School, which focuses on Semiotics and its multitiple layers of meaning. Doctor Indelicato and Doctor Qiu took the advantage of many pictures in various contexts to illustrate how meaning was constructed. The group discussion in class helped the understanding of the topic.
It is reported that Maria will work as a visiting scholar at NIT for one year. During her stay, she will give lessons to students and conduct research with the teams at the School.
