On February 25th, NIT Deputy Dean Wang Yinhui and other NIT officials, visited the offices of the Ningbo Shunhe Road Bridge Associated Enterprise where they were welcomed by its Chariman Ye Fangcai. In the meeting which followed, Mr. Tong, representing NIT, and Mr. Ye, representing the enterprise, signed a cooperation agreement to jointly develop a base for the development of local employment practices.

The Ningbo Shunhe Road Bridge Associated Enterprise consists of three subordinate companies: Construction Supervision Consultant Co., Ltd., Ningbo Zheng Xin Testing Technology Co., Ltd., and Ningbo Highway Municipal Design Co., Ltd. At the signing ceremony, Mr. Ye introduced the enterprise, and discussed the composition of its business and staff. He noted that business volume has been increasingly steadily year on year, and that the enterprises 2013 sales exceeded 120 million RMB.

The Shunhe enterprise has enjoyed a long-time relationship with the Ningbo Institute of Technology. In 2011, it selected and assisted NIT in hosting the Ningbo Structural Design Invitation Tournament. Since 2012, at least ten students have been accepted as interns. Every summer vacation, the enterprise offers a practice base to around twenty 3rd-year NIT students. And in February, 2014, it organized a local job fair on the NIT campus.

The cooperative agreement to expand the practice base will deepen NITs relationship with the Ningbo Shunhe Road Bridge Associated Enterprise and promote continued progress in teaching, scientific research, internship programs, and employment opportunities.
