On June 12th, 2014, the Clover Volunteer Service Group at NIT was awarded the distinction of ;Excellent Project for the Construction of Campus Culture as part of a selection process conducted by Zhejiang Universitys cultural construction committee. Around 30 different public service projects were considered, and ;Clover made it into the final Q&A session. Clover volunteers primarily provide companionship and comfort to cancer patients in hospital. There are currently around 300 members who together have logged over 1600 hours of service time, and their efforts have won wide acclaim from the community. In 2013, the organization was given a special award by the Ningbo municipal government.
