Athletes from the NIT track and field team recently attended the 2014 Track &Field Meet of Zhejiang University, which was held by the Zhejiang Education Department and sponsored by the Zhejiang Sports Bureau at the Yuquancampus of Zhejiang University. The competition took place over a three-day period.

Under the able guidance of coaches Wu Weibo andHu Xiaofan, the NIT team won third prize in the women's 5,000-meter race, fifth prize in the women's 800-meter race, third prize in men's triple jump, fifth prize in men's high jump, fourth prize in men's shot put, seventh prize in men's discus throw, and eighth prize in the men's 400-meter race.
