In late April 2014, the Ningbo Intermediate Peoples Court and NIT signed a formal agreement entitled ;Framework Agreement for Comprehensive Cooperation with Colleges. On May 21st, the first circuit court of the Ningbo Intermediate Peoples Court commenced operations at NIT.

Attending the signing ceremony were Dr. Li Zhangjun, representative and vice-president of the Ningbo Intermediate Peoples Court, Professor FeiYingqin, Party Secretary of NIT, and Dr. Jin Pengnian, professor and vice-chairman of the China Association of International Law.

In the future, legal experts and local business leaders will teach and conduct legal proceedings at this circuit court, which represents a milestone in the teaching and practical application of law at Chinese universities.
