On June 12th, three distinguished visitors from Widener University toured the NIT campus: Dr. Stephen Clark Wilhite, University Dean, Dr. Suk-Chung Yoon, Assistant to the President, and Dr. Huang Zhongpin, Dean of Biomedical Engineering.

Established in 1821 in Chester, Pennsylvania, USA, the main campus of Widener University covers an area of 110 acres. It offers more than 40 specialty programs with more than 3000 undergraduates and nearly 3000 postgraduates. In 2002, NIT signed a cooperation agreement with Widener University.

Yang Jiangang, Vice President of NIT, extended a warm welcome to the visitors by hosting them in the VIP room. He affirmed the mutual benefits of previous cooperation between NIT and Widener University, and expressed his hope that it can be expanded in the future. Representatives from both schools shared ideas and opinions on teacher and student exchanges, and finally reached a consensus.

Following the meeting, the delegation visited the Department of Law, the School of Management, and the School of Information Science & Engineering.
