After passing an examination organized by Pass World, a consortium of business schools in France, six NIT students were admitted into a postgraduate study program at colleges in France starting in the fall semester of 2014. This unique opportunity is due to a cooperation agreement signed in April 2013 by NIT and Pass World.

The lucky six students are from the School of Management and the School of Economics and Trade: Fang Zhengzhao and Zhan Yuwei are in the Financial Management Professional program; Chen Jiajie is a Marketing major; Ye Jingshu is a Logistics major in the School of Management; Shen Siting is majoring in International Trade; Zheng Tingyi is a French major in the School of Economics and Trade. The admission process for a seventh NIT student is now underway.

As a result of the cooperation agreement, NIT students now have the opportunity to study abroad at universities in France. Juniors and seniors from most majors can apply directly for this postgraduate study program. When a student completes the first year of the program, the earned credits will be equivalent to the 4th year of study at NIT. Students who graduate from the program will receive a bachelors degree and a graduation certificate. In addition, students who complete two years of study will be awarded a masters degree in Management that is approved both by the Ministry of Education in China and the corresponding official institution in France.

To prepare the NIT students for their immersion experience in France, a short-term exchange program has been organized for the summer by the School of Management and the School of Economics and Trade. By participating in this program, students will be able to gain first-hand experience of French culture and lifestyle, sample its famous cuisine, tour the French business schools they will be attending in the fall, and improve their French language skills.
