On December 17th, a reception with the title “Organizations Gathering” was held by the NIT School of Management and the School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering.

The reception consisted of three parts. To begin, the host offered some opening remarks. She then divided the participants into several small groups so they could get to know each other better and discuss their respective schools. After the round of discussions, everyone came together in a lively open forum called “Find and Solve” to ask and answer a variety of questions about NITs schools and major programs.

One student majoring in computer engineering asked, “How can we use the Internet to foster communication between different NIT schools?” Another student answered, “You can use WeChat and other popular micro-blogs to communicate and to develop connections with other students.” Those who attended the reception agreed that it was an effective way to inform students about programs and activities occurring in other NIT schools, to find common solutions to campus issues, and to promote institutional unity.
