On December 9th, Professor Yu from the Department of Basic Courses in the NIT School of Foreign Language Studies gave an interesting lecture on the importance of workplace etiquette. Yu posed the question: “Do you know why some students who are quite capable wont be successful in their careers?” And he offered an answer: “Maybe its due to poor workplace etiquette.”

Professor Yus lecture was aimed at providing guidance and support for NIT seniors who soon will be seeking and competing for jobs. Yu gave a number of humorous examples to illustrate the importance of good manners and professional behavior in the workplace. He also provided useful advice on how to be respectful of all of ones co-workers, regardless of whether they are in superior or subordinate positions.
