On the afternoon of April 15th, the Board of Directors of the Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University, held a meeting at the Ningbo Administrative Service Center. Prominent attendees included Lu Ziyue, Mayor of Ningbo, Lin Jianghua, President of Zhejiang University, and Jin Weiliang, President of NIT.

Four main orders of business were discussed during the meeting:

1) A new group of NIT board members was elected, and Lu Ziyue and Lin Jianhua were appointed Co-Chairmen.

2) A detailed report on NITs progress, which was delivered by President Jin Weiliang, was approved, along with the next years financial budget.

3) Plans for the continued development of the Ningbo branch of Zhejiang University were discussed.

4) The newly-appointed board chairmen both gave speeches outlining their visions for NITs future.

Lin Jianghua expressed his deep appreciation for the many achievements of NIT over the past thirteen years. He also pointed out that further strategic cooperation between NIT, the Ningbo Municipal government, and Zhejiang University will be required to continue the transformation of the Institute into a high-level college. In conclusion, Ningbo Mayor Lu Ziyue assured the Board of Directors that the Ningbo Municipal Government plans to offer its full support to assist NIT in meeting its development goals.
