The 14thInternational Symposium on Knowledge and Systems Sciences was held on theNIT campus onOctober 25-27, 2013. The academic gathering was sponsored by the School of Management.Attending the symposium were more than one hundred experts fromvarious countries such as the U.K., Australia, Japan, and Hong Kong, as well as academics from domestic universities and academic organizations such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences,HebeiAcademy of Sciences, Qinghua University, Zhejiang University, Sichuan University, and Dalian University of Technology.

This years International Symposium on Knowledge and Systems Sciences (KSS) wassponsored by the International Societyfor Knowledge and Systems Science (ISKSS). As a forum on scientific fields of study involving management and knowledge innovation, it brings together the highest-level experts for a lively exchange of information and ideas. Eight keynote speeches were delivered and twelve seminars were arranged to address specific areas of knowledge.

The goal of the symposium is to promote academic exchanges between experts from China and overseas, and those in attendance agreed that the event will have a profound influence on research being conducted in China in relatedfields.
