On the morning of November 2nd, Lin Huiqing, Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Education, inspected the Ningbo Institute of Technology (NIT). Also attending the inspection tour were Liu Xiping, Director of the Zhejiang Education Department, ShenJianguang, Director of the Ningbo Education Bureau, Hu Chidi, Deputy Director of the Ningbo Education Bureau, Jin Weiliang, President of NIT, and FeiYingqin, Secretary of the Party Committee.

Lin and the other attendeesvisited a local exhibition on achievements in education and listened with great interest and affirmation to a report on the history and achievements of NIT. After listening to this report, Lin acknowledged NITsmany accomplishments over the past decade and said that NIT should continue to make full use of its advantages to employ creative solutions to overcome obstacles to further development and constantly improve the quality and scope of educational programs. The inspection concluded with a report from theNingbo Education Bureau on the statusof higher education in Ningbo City.
