On October 30th, Mr. Chris Johnson, Head of the International Department of the University of Western Sydney (UWS), accompanied by three other delegates from the Australian university, visited NIT to discuss academic cooperation.

Yang Jiangang, Vice President of NIT, hosted a reception for the visitors in the VIP Room. Also attending the reception were Wang Guofeng, Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Language Studies, and Chen Ying of the Foreign Affairs Office.

Vice President Yang gave a brief introduction to NIT and spoke about the schools innovations in university management and its achievements in fostering an open and international academic environment. Yang also emphasized NITs interest in working with UWS to develop cooperative programs. Chris Johnson expressed his admiration of the great achievements NIT has made in recent years and stated that UWS is eager to move forward with plans to implement international student and teacher exchanges as well as undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs.
