On November 12, 2013,Wu Xinxing, Vice-President of the Southern Taiwan University of Technology (STUST),visited the Ningbo Institute of Technology (NIT). Yang Jiangang, Vice-President of NIT, extended a warm welcome to the guests in the VIP room. Also attending the meeting were Vice-President of School of Media, He Zhenbiao, and Li Fei from the Department of Personnel.

Vice-President Yang pointed outthat Taiwan isone of NITsfocus regions for academicexchange and applaudedthe previous achievements in cooperation made by the two schools. He also proposed that existing collaborative projects be more actively promoted and that similar efforts be made in other fields. To conclude the meeting, representatives of both sides discussed relevant issues such asstudentcultivation and teachertraining.

Back in April of 2013, NIT and STUST signed their firstcooperation agreement, and recently, a group of eight students traveled to Taiwan to attenda three-month exchange program. Bythe end of thissemester, NIT will approvea plan for credit recognition and conversion ofacademic transcripts issuedby STUST.
