On the afternoon of September 22nd, the NIT Student Career Center, in cooperation with the EIC Group, hosted a consultation in room NF103 for representatives from the University of Leicester and the University of Sussex in China. The purpose of the consultation was to discuss student admissions policies. The delegations traveled to NIT to brainstorm ideas for promoting open education, increasing the quality and quantity of students studying abroad, and instituting programs to better serve students who aspire to overseas studies.

Wang Ying, from the University of Leicester and Xue Ying, from the University of Sussex, spoke in detail about their respective schools, creating a great deal of interest among the students attending the consultation. The two schools intend to actively recruit foreign students from a wide range of majors. The University of Leicester specializes in electrical engineering and computer science, while the University of Sussex specializes in media studies and mechanical engineering. To promote new admissions, the University of Leicester has recently launched a new Masters degree program that requires one year of academic study plus a one-year paid internship.

The NIT Student Career Center actively explores qualified overseas educational resources in order to provide current information and personal consultations to better inform students and their parents of the best opportunities for study-abroad programs.
