On January 21st, the 4th session of the 3rd Consulting Committee of NIT was hosted by its director, Zhan Junsheng. Attending the session were principle members of the Committee and NIT leadership.

Jin Weiliang, President of NIT, delivered a report on the work of the college over the past year and introduced the priorities for the next stage. Committee members discussed the “9211 Special Program for Excellent Talents”, which was proposed by the school council, and put forth many constructive suggestions on how to improve the program.

Zhang praised NITs many achievements in the area of university management. He emphasized that NIT must continue to strive to become a top-ranked application-oriented university and enhance its educational quality by cultivating practical talents, carrying out applied research, and improving overall efficiency.

Director Zhang further emphasized the importance of integrating programs to develop key student talents within existing undergraduate curricula. Such measures, he said, will help ensure the continued flow of grants and other external resources to support the universitys future growth.
