In order to offer improved career opportunities for NIT graduates, as well as other college graduates in the Ningbo area, our college held an on-campus comprehensive job fair for 2012 college graduates on November 26th. It is the first job fair since the service month has come to our local colleges, and hundreds of enterprises participated in this grand job fair.
Haipeng Liao, a teacher in the employment guidance center of NIT, said, “There are more than five hundred enterprises which will come to recruit talents containing extensive majors. According to the past employment data, about 72% students will continue employment after their job internship.”
The reporter also learned that our college usually held at least three grand job fairs, especially for the graduates, which were held during the fall, winter and summer periods. Some small and varied activities were also held, such as small-scale job fairs and some special skills technological discussions, which were described during a meeting in Yuyao and Cixi. In order to supply a variety of employment opportunities and information to graduates, every university department organized many lectures, with regards to planning ones career and how to succeed in an interview. Whats more, the universitys employment website provides specific information on employment consultation and guidance, studying abroad and the interpretation of other aspects of employment policy.
