On May 5th, 2012, the Party Secretary of NIT, Fei Yingqin, along with several teachers from NIT and parents, attended the Commencement Ceremony of the University of Indianapolis to support the graduation of 53 students who have successfully completed the joint undergraduate program of NIT and UIndy. The two schools have long had a strategic partnership, especially in business and English language study. During the graduation ceremony, Secretary Fei, on behalf of NIT, delivered an enthusiastic speech to extend his warmest congratulations to those hard-working students and his sincere gratitude to the faculty members of the University of Indianapolis who have dedicated their time and energy to teach and counsel students from NIT. In the speech, he said, “All the graduates are standing at the threshold of an important transition - full of ambition, dreams and expectations. To best contribute as an individual participant in the world, one needs to work hard and strive to realize one's potential as a world citizen of tomorrow.” Besides, he also provided them with crucial ways to accomplish this goal and encouraged them to keep inner peace. Among the successful graduates, a student named Ying Yin, from the School of Economics and Trade has got a promising job - working in the Price Waterhouse Coopers, one of the world famous “Big Four” accountancy firms.
