On May the 28th, 2011, the First Municipal Microbiological Contest, sponsored by Ningbo Biology Association and Zhejiang Pharmaceutical College, was held successfully with 10 teams participating.

After two rounds of competition of theoretical and practical competence, two NIT teams won the second and third prize respectively, and individually students from NIT took first, second and third places in the individual trophy.
