Scientific and Technological Progress and Change in the Mode of Economic Development in China, written by Professor Xiao Wen, was selected in National Philosophy and Social Sciences Achievements Series of Books in September 2016. Professor Xiao has presided over the National Social Science Fund Project “Accelerating the transformation of economic development mode by Applying the Scientific Outlook on Development” and this book is the major record of this project. Professor Fan Lishu, Professor Shao Jinju and Professor Lin Chengliang has been also involved in this research as Professor Xiao’s colleagues.
This book explores the impact of scientific and technological progress on economic development and proposed that scientific and technological progress guarantees and promotes economic development. The core ideas was published in the academic journals and influential newspapers, such as Management World, Guangming Daily, World Econom, some of which was reprinted in China Social Science Digest, Xinhua Digest. What’s more, Professor Xiao won two awards at the provincial and ministerial level.
