On July 2 and July 3, 2016, the Second “Internet +” Zhejiang Collegeiate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Hangzhou Normal University. Mi Xuelon, a major of industrial design won the gold medal, whose project was named “Smart home appliances”. Sun Kangli, a major of chemical engineering, won the silver medal, whose project was named “He/she Fitness community”.

This competition was organized by the Committee of Zhejiang Collegiate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. It stands for the highest level in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship among college students in Zhejiang Province. There are three categories in the competition: the start-up group, the second-level group and the innovative group. since April 2016, the competition has attracted 97 colleges and universities from Zhejiang province and a total of 2,033 projects have been registered. The competition is very fierce and usually merely 120 projects have the qualifications to enter the final competition.
