On the morning of November 30, 2016, the opening ceremony of Ningbo Collegiate Social Entrepreneurship Forum 2016 was held at NIT Ningbo Institute of Technology.nThis forum was sponsored by Ningbo Bureau of Education, Ningbo Institute of Technology and Ningbo Yinzhou Bank Public Foundation. The theme of this forum was “Synergy in public welfare, innovation in Yongcheng”, which aimed at building cross-boundary innovative public cooperation platform for the government, universities, enterprises and social resources to jointly promote the development of Ningbo city social entrepreneurship.

The leaders of Ningbo Bureau of Education, the personnel in charge of innovation in 14 colleges and universities of Ningbo, the representatives from 51 industrial organizations and the social entrepreneurs, and the representatives from the media attended the forum. The opening ceremony was chaired by Dr. Yu Zhiwei, from the School of Management.  
At the opening ceremony, Fei Yingqin, Party Secretary of NIT, warmly welcomed the arrival of the ladies and gentlemen on behalf of Zhejiang University Ningbo Institute of Technology. He stressed that entrepreneurship was now a new issue of colleges and universities and that the recent years had witnessed the growth of public welfare entrepreneurship at NIT.
Hu Chidi, Deputy Director of Ningbo Bureau of Education, expressed his wishes at the forum. He hoped that colleges and universities in Ningbo would promote cooperation with companies, banks and non-profit organizations, and explore new patterns of talent training. He pointed out that public entrepreneurship, internationally known as “service-oriented learning”, was worthy of being spread in China.
