On the afternoon of March 17th, 2017, the annual conference of Ningbo Association of Social Sciences was held in the Conference Center of Eaton Hotel and more than 130 members attended the conference. At the conference, the Social Science Association of NIT was awarded Excellent Society of Ningbo Social Sciences Association 2016.

In the year of 2016, the Social Science Association of NIT did a lot of work. It helped to organize the seminars on how to apply the National Social Science Fund, and held five academic conferences in support of “Ningbo Social Community Academic Season”. It helped to set up the Government Public Activity Assessment Center and organized an activity in which more than 80 students offered consultation to citizens. Furthermore, it encouraged teachers to actively apply for the projects about “The Belt and Road”, “Maritime Silk Road” and other related projects.
