The University held the Inauguration Ceremony of the Practice Base for Cross-Border E-Commerce Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Appointment Ceremony of Entrepreneurship Mentors on July 8th. Presided over by Deputy Dean LIAO Haipeng of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the ceremonies witnessed the attendance of over 50 people including Vice President LU Dongming, Executive Vice-President CAI Jingquan from Ningbo HOOYA IMP. & EXP. Group Co., Ltd.

In his speech, Vice-President LU of NingboTech stressed that the higher education was actively integrating into the socio-economic development in the new era, with industry-university integration and innovation and entrepreneurship being ties and carriers of this eco-system. Having realized the importance of deepening industry-university cooperation, NingboTech has been promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in e-commerce, and the practice base jointly established by the university, HOOYA and Ningbo E-Commerce Institute is a good example. By appointing entrepreneurship mentors, the university makes an innovative attempt to offer students professional instructions and services, an opportunity which, LU said, student should hold dear and take to improve their own competence. LU also hoped that the three parties could further strengthen their mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation.

Prof. LIN Chengliang, Executive Director of Ningbo E-Commerce Institute, made it clear that e-commerce talent training would become more professionalized and comprehensive, which would require more fragmented class categories and quality resources so that students could learn better.HOOYA’s Executive Vice-President CAI Jingquan said the company would be committed, as always, to nurturing talents and promoting government-industry-university cooperation and hoped that the base could enjoy rapid development.
