District government officials led by DAI Huaxiang, Deputy Head of Yinzhou District where NingboTech is located, had in-depth discussions over future cooperation with the university officials during a visit to the school on August 4th.

HU Zhengyu, Party Secretary of NingboTech, extended warm welcome to the district officials and sincere gratitude to Yinzhou District for its care and support. Pointing out that the school has been greatly supporting the regional economic development by contributing human and scientific resources, HU hoped that the school and Yinzhou District could further deepen cooperation and exchanges, stand high and look afar, so as to boost local scientific and technological innovation and the city development.

Deputy Head DAI introduced the overall socio-economic situation of Yinzhou. He pointed out that while Yinzhou, as a demonstration area of quality development in manufacturing, has made remarkable strides in comprehensive strength, innovation-driven development and industrial structure, it still needed to accelerate the capacity building and industry-education integration. He hoped that through closer cooperation with NingboTech, more human resources could be pooled into this city, and innovation vitality be unleashed so that both could enjoy win-win outcome.

LIN Huaizhong, Director of Department of Scientific Research of NingboTech, briefed the attendees on scientific researches and social services of the school, and indicated that the school already enjoyed close cooperation with Yinzhou District with even greater collaboration room in the future.

Other district officials also expressed interest in collaborating with NingboTech in building Yinzhou into a first-class and innovative area.
